Introduction to 3D Printing - Live Demo and Hands on Workshop

This course covers the fundamentals of 3D printing technology, its practical applications, and best practices. Participants will learn about digital imaging, surgical guide fabrication, custom prosthetics, and in-house lab integration. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on workshop, where they will learn to navigate 3D printing software, optimize designs, and operate 3D printers. By the end of this course, participants will be able to incorporate 3D printing for single implant cases as well as full-arch treatments in their practice.
Course Objectives
- Understand the fundamentals of 3D printing technology in the context of dental implant practice, including its advantages, limitations, and potential applications.
- Gain practical knowledge and skills in utilizing 3D printing for pre-operative planning, surgical guide fabrication, and the creation of patient-specific prosthetics, such as abutments, crowns, and dentures.
- Explore effective strategies for integrating 3D printing into everyday dental implant practice, including inhouse lab implementation, cost-effectiveness considerations, and quality control measures.
